Janice and I met James Blake last night! This picture was taken the second time I chatted with him yesterday. The first time, I tried to get him to remember the time I met him in Leeds, and I let him and his friend go as they were heading out to get pizza.
After Janice joined me, we waited in Starbucks and waited some more near the Commodore for James and his friend to return. When they did, we called out for James and I reinforced that I’m not creepy, but that my friend wanted to meet him too. We had a mini “photoshoot” in an alley and talked a wee bit. He shook our hands again and said it was very nice to meet us before heading off.
Just like before, he’s quite timid and super adorable. And I swear he’s gotten taller! He was at least a couple of inches taller than when I met him in Leeds. Also, please take note of the fact that I have graduated to an open hand-to-shoulder pose from James. Pretty stoked about this development.
